Lower Costs
RoIP uses existing IP infrastructure – either LAN, WAN or VPN – removing the need for additional installation and maintenance of the network architecture. Further cost savings come through the replacement of leased lines and microwave links, and constantly evolving hardware that is readily available and continues to decrease in price.
Improved reliability and interoperability
The resilient infrastructure of an IP network is less at risk of downtime, while Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) technology allows for increased interoperability across multiple frequency bands and device manufacturers.
Greater network flexibility
IP technology allows sites to be connected over a much wider geographical area than traditional radio networks. Also, adding repeater sites and additional dispatch locations is much easier – as long as there is internet connectivity, users can establish a site of operation.
